Easts had their work cut out for them this week taking on the only other unbeaten side of the competition – Glebe.

The game started off well with Easts taking the lead from another Jamie 1-yard touch. But that was as good as things were going to get for us.

The first touch let us down all over the park and we didn’t do ourselves any favours by winning possession only to give it straight back to Glebe again.

It wasn’t long before Glebe capitalised on our errors and added a couple to the score board.

Half time 1-2 down.

With a change in structure for the second half we pushed forward whenever our own mistakes weren't hindering us. Glebe however added a third with about 15 to go.

There was a valiant fight from Easts in the final 10mins, but when the ever dependable Rich put a deflected shortie over the cross bar from 3 feet out, we knew it just wasn’t to be.

Full Time. Easts 1 – Glebe 3.

We can take out of the game that we gave ourselves plenty of chances even with limited control of possession.

Glebe were just more hungry and determined on the day.
