The game was destined to be one to forget. The team talk on tactics before the game were scattered through moments of no care as the first team was showing us all how to attack the goal, attention was hard to sell pre-game.

Despite the lack of attitude and mental attendance during warm-up, the game started on a positive as Easts attacked and held position well and we were unlucky not to score, be it bad luck or bad umpiring we could not get on the sheet early on. Frustration was free to buy thanks to the (dare mention again) shite umpiring, not sure how much Moorebank payed but I am sure the lads in unconvincing grey could have been better off putting their palm out to the affluent boys from the east.

Despite the umpiring after a great passage of play we slotted one in the back of the net.... soon after Moorebank hit back with a lame short corner and an even lamer shot on goal, shame to say it trickled in.... score one all going into the second half..

Never been able to remember games I lose.... yada yada yada, something about Nipper giving the evil eye to the umpire resulting in a penalty stroke, goal to Moorebank.... later subbed off to a far better player in Sam ( can’t remember being fatigued or playing badly), Nipper in an obvious fit of rage after me being subbed decides to make a late tackle (hey the guy was still standing) resulting in a yellow card, Umpire not being happy with Nippers obedient waking straight away Nipper was called back so he could swear a bit and make a scene so it all looked like the he deserved the yellow (and DOD).

Oh and I also remember viewing a re-enactment of Platoon (Jorn) late in the game, less rolling and more screaming in pain next time!!....

Game over, I think it wasn’t a good result, not sure can’t remember... I do remember all Easts boys F...ed off as quickly as possible not to be seen another minute in Moorebank poop hole, sorry hockey field... Being parked on the M5 freeway going home summed up the afternoon... one to forget!
