Easts were caught on the hop by there fiercest rivals who hit the boys in blue for 3 before half-time. Our movement and pace improved in the second half and it was no surprise when we pulled a goal back. Tom Adams netting his fourth goal in as many games. At 3-1 the game was turning only for a bizarre umpiring decision to award a free to GNS 30 metres from goal. the free was taken 10 metres from where the incident happened and before we knew what happened it was 4-1 and the tie effectively over. GNS netted a a 5th to rub salt into the wounds. Easts  will have to improve dramatically if we are to best a well organised GNS team in the finals.
